Two arrested in connection with cannabis production – Slough and London 

Two men have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a large quantity of cannabis. 

Specialist officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit arrested a 41-year-old and a 37-year-old at addresses in Slough and Westminster on Thursday (12/1). 

The 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to import a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis, attempted fraudulent evasion of duty and possession of articles for use in fraud. The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation following the discovery of cannabis grown during the search of a dwelling. 

The arrests follow the interception by UK Border Force of a shipment from the USA containing a large quantity of herbal cannabis. 

Both men were released on police bail until 4 April.
